Designation of Origin: Deutscher Wein

Vintage: 2021

Grape(s): A blend of Regent and Dornfelder. The Dorfelder grapes were bought in Rheinhessen from a like-minded farmer. The Regent constitues about 15% of the blend.

Vinification: Direct press.

Aging: The two were aged together in 3 different used wood containers.

Bottled: End of May 2022

Soil type: The Regent is planted on gipskeuper and the Dornfelder is on sandy soils.

Age of vines: The Regent was planted in 2001, and the Dornfelder is a mystery.

Sulfur: All of our wines had a microdose of sulfur pre-bottling, and analyses came back under 20mg total.

A note about the name: Seinfeld (S5, Ep2) obviously. But if you’re not a Seinfeld fan, Prince also wore exquisite puffy shirts, as well as many pirates.
